Relatively new layout. Course always well maintained. While not one of the longer courses, rolling hills gives lots of different lies. Great driving range and practice facility for lessons. Friendly & Knowledgeable staff.

Played here for the first time on an early spring afternoon, with temp's in the 40's. Was very pleasantly surprised by course conditions after this horrible winter we've endured. This is one of Montgomery County's several munis, and it's a real credit to the management team.
Layout is fairly compact, and thus, walkable, with enough modest elevation changes to add some character. There are a few houses visible from the playing area (notably the two palatial mansions along the 12th fairway), but are not intrusive and don't affect shot sight-lines. Fairways are receptive, and fairway bunkers fairly easy to avoid. Greens are pretty large, most have some slope and undulation, but not excessively so. Despite the compact dimensions of the course, there is no sense of being crowded together, and there is plenty of room between adjacent holes.
Conditions today were very good: greens were a real treat: not at all bumpy after the cold weather, and putted true and quick. The few bunkers I hit were playable, and the fairways, although browned out, had plenty of grass, even in closely-mown areas: no "pool-table" lies off the green. Staff I met were cordial and efficient.
One minor quibble: no diagrams of the holes or course layout on the scorecard or on the tee box markers. For a first-timer like me, that would have been very helpful.
Overall, I really liked the course, and highly recommend.
